VSDA Web Awards Purpose:
"Website Design Award, With Purpose"
The VSDA purpose is to recognise and honour inspired website design and professional flash design with our VSDA website design awards. We strive to encourage and help as many people as we can and give credit to those who have taken the time to create a visual and technically superb website. It is our desire to install in the minds of our web awards seekers and the viewers of their pages alike that the web, notwithstanding what we are often led to believe, is not a bad place but that it is a facility of wonder, overflowing with colours, sights, sounds and abounding with stimulating information.
VSDA web design awards are issued to web designers, professional website design firms and individual webmasters.
The VSDA best website design awards are prestigious to win and if your website design is such that you can qualify to win one, you will know that your site is one of the better website's on the Internet. What that means is that our web design award is a not easy to earn, in fact it is a difficult web award to win and most who apply for it will not win the first time through. It is here though that we differ from many of the best web site design award programs...have you ever read something like, "If you don't hear from us in 12 weeks you will know you did not win an award" well that does not happen at VSDA. You will always hear from us with a personalised response that informs you of why you did or did not earn an award.
Every applicant will receive an honest review from our evaluator’s complete with their comments and some helpful tips even if your effort does not qualify for an honour at this time. Here are a few comments from applicants who did not win but appreciated our input, “Yes, yes, yes...Thank you very much for the extra feedback and for going the extra mile in helping me better my site. Please be sure to tell your associate that I appreciate his comments. Sometimes bluntness works :=). You've been a big help, and I appreciate the valuable time that you've spent.” and from another webmaster, "I learn to improve my site from true reviewer like you. Many award sites don't provide what you had provided me. I truly appreciated your comments and suggestions." Finally from this webmaster of a very good site,, "Thank you very much! Although an award would have been nice, personally I value your opinion and critiques more. I will take the next 90 days to work on the mentioned items."
If you want your website to be better take the time to click on Apply (all AP navigation is on the top menu bar) – which takes you to the Criteria. From the Criteria you will be directed to the Self Test which will take you to the application itself. All applicants will be notified upon receipt of application and be given the opportunity to display a nominee web badge. The nominee web badge is a gift from us to say thank you for taking the time to apply.
Notification:
All applicants are notified whether they win or not, initially to state that we have received your application and give you the status URL and code. If your site is disqualified you are given the reasons for the DSQ in an email. If you are not awarded first time around and wish to re-apply you may do so after a 90 day waiting period. Make use of this time to read our criteria and our tips or any suggestions we sent you. If you have made significant changes to your site let us know you are re-applying and we will grade your site again. We are here to help you make a better website.
