The web site, www.smmt.co.uk, is an information portal for our key publics. As a trade association we represent the industry by providing information and influence on the future of the industry. The web site acts as a tool for all publics - including media, government, academia, students and industry figures - and is the first port of call on all matters in the sector.

We are pleased to send to your our VSDA Silver Award for a well created and presented website. Some commentary from our evaluators: Overall this is a good site that is full of comprehensive information. I really liked the use of the category selection menus on the publications page as well as the links page. Some things we would like to see improved: It is missing a few things however, some images throughout do not have alt tags, I could find no method to get back to "Home" Some of the longer pages were right on the border of requiring a Top of Page button. I would have liked to see them within the site on certain pages. This is a well done and thought out website that is FULL of information pertaining to the industry. Congratulations on a job well done.
