How long will my evaluation take?
Normally up to two weeks from the date of your application but this time frame could extend to 4 weeks. If this becomes the case we will post a notice on our main site page informing you of the current time frame. Also there may be times when we become overloaded with applications. When this occurs we will place a temporary suspension on all applications until the back log is cleared.
Will you take my disability into account when you evaluate my site?
This is an area that we feel very strong about at VSDA and with respect, we do ask you to inform us within your application of your disability and what areas that it will affect. Things we are aware of are Dyslexia (affecting ones ability to spell) and Visual Impairment (which may mean you will use larger font sizes in your web site). We respect all of our applicants, and whatever their personal problems are, but it any impairment must affect the way that they design their web site otherwise we cannot accept the reason.
Will you inform me if I don't qualify for an award and why?

Yes, you will receive a notification listing the reasons as to why your site was disqualified and the evaluators comments. We do reserve the right not to get into arguments or lengthy discussions over your site not being awarded. Abusive emails will only result in your site being banned from re-applying. Remember you came to us for our opinion and advice on your site and we respect you for that, so please also respect us. If you do have a valid complaint and it is put politely we will look into it and hopefully we will reach a satisfactory resolution.
Can I apply for an upgrade of my award at any time?
Certainly and we encourage you to. You must wait 90 days and have made significant changes and improvements to your site. Your site must comply with our current posted criteria. Please note that simply applying does not automatically qualify you for an upgrade; you still have to earn it on the merits of your website. If at any time you re-apply and our award program has been upgraded by AwardsSites! or UWSAG to a higher rating; you will in all probability find it will be harder to earn an award.
Are you doing this to get referrals to your design site?
No, not at all. This is one of the main reasons we have our AP on a separate domain and yes we do have links on this site to OTR, but this is mainly so you know that the AP site is owned and managed by OTR Web Systems. All items within this AP will remain free with content being added as required.
